Helping curious families explore faith together.
Explore.
We often hear the spiritual life being described as a journey, but for a lot of us, it has been treated like a destination. We arrived at the beliefs we hold.
We made a decision for faith. We landed in the church that matched who we were and what we liked. And we stayed. But then our life experiences changed us, our relationships challenged us, our circumstances shaped us, and sometimes, in the process we‘ve discovered the faith we landed on originally, isn’t the faith that fits who we are now.
At Curious Faith, we want to explore possibilities for our families’ faith experience that matches where we are and where we’re headed. We want families to feel comfortable and safe to look beyond what they have known, allowing themselves the freedom
to ask questions, challenge norms, and imagine a different faith experience.
Faith.
By no fault of our own, many of us have had a singular understanding and experience of Christianity. Maybe it was a specific denomination, or theological perspective. Maybe it was Western or Americanized. We didn’t know it was one of many different experiences, we only knew it as being familiar, comfortable and all we knew.
At Curious Faith we want to help equip families to experience the deeper, wider, and larger Christian experience by looking
at the multitude of ways one can faithfully follow Jesus in their time, place, and personal life experience. We want people to feel encouraged to venture beyond the tributary of faith they know to the wider river of Christian history, tradition and scholarship. We won’t tell you what to think, we’ll just point out the expansive spread of different ways of Christian thinking through time and place. You think for yourself.
Together.
The church experience is changing. Family church attendance is more sporadic, but families haven’t stopped caring about the spiritual flourishing of their families.
The goal remains the same, but the method to make that flourishing a reality may need tweaking.
At Curious Faith we want parents
to feel empowered to be spiritual leaders of their home—learning and growing alongside their kids, whether in church or at home. We want parents to feel like they don’t have to outsource the spiritual lives of their kids to anyone else; that they can invest in their kids on their time, at their pace, and where it works best for them.
Curious Faith wants to invite you on a journey to explore faith together. Because there’s a world of faith out there to discover. And every family deserves the chance to discover it for themselves.
Who Is Curious Faith?
Curious Faith is led by a small team who believes in the larger power of many voices. Because God's stories can't be told by just one person.
Our Team
With a combined 50 years experience of writing and talking to adults and kids about the Bible and faith, Curious Faith Media began in order to help families explore faith together with curiosity and without judgement. There are a lot of ways to express the Christian faith, and we’re here to help your family find your own way in this very deep and very wide Christian tradition.
